This is the finale of the week long celebrations that started with a thanksgiving service, the staff charity presentations, the Green Port Fair and the official opening of the Mulifanua and Salelologa ports upgrade project. I am also told that the Authority has to date paid a total accumulated dividends to the Government of $25 million tala, another milestone achievement that is being celebrated tonight. In addition there will be awards to honour some of the long serving employees as part of tonight’s program. On behalf of the Government and the people of Samoa, I wish to take this opportunity to extend our most sincere thanks to the Hon Minister of Works, Transport and infrastructure, Afioga Olo Fiti Afoa Vaai, the Chairman and the Board, the Management and Staff of Samoa Ports Authority for their service to the Government and the people of Samoa for the last twenty five years.
