Prime Minister meets with Australian D.F.A.T Representatives

Prime Minister of Samoa La’aulialemalietoa Leuatea Polāta’ivao Fosi Schmidt met with Mark Tattersall, Australia’s First Assistant Secretary, Polynesia, Micronesia and Development Division, Office of the Pacific, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s Office on Thursday afternoon and was also attended by the Australian High Commissioner to Samoa Will Robinson, and representatives of the Australian Government.

Mark Tattersall is also the Australia’s Head of Delegation for the Australia-Samoa Senior Officials Talks, which Samoa hosted from the 14th to the 16th of July.

The meeting with the Prime Minister on Thursday follows meetings held in Brisbane, Australia, at the launch of the Pacific Rugby League Programme on July 8th.

The Prime Minister and the delegations spoke about many topics concerning the Pacific, including Climate Change as the Pacific prepares for the Pacific Islands Forum [P.I.F.] meeting in Palau later this year.
