Duty Free Allowance
Any passenger aged 21 years and above may import up to:
- 2.25L of alcohol by volume of 40% or less
- 200g cigarettes or 250g tobacco products
All passengers are entitled to goods obtained or purchased duty free in Samoa with a combined total price of SAT $500.00 including gifts but excluding goods for business, commercial or trade purposes.
Restricted Goods
- Firearms and ammunition must be accompanied by a permit from the Ministry of Police.
- Fireworks and related goods must be accompanied by a permit from the Ministry of Police.
- Goods listed under the Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) must be accompanied by a permit from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
- SAT $20000.00 (or its foreign equivalent) must be declared and a Border Currency Report must be completed on arrival.
Prohibited Goods
- Pornography related indecent goods
- Illicit drugs and narcotics
- Goods such as paraphernalia/utensils associated with illicit drugs.
- Copyright or trademark infringing materials.
